"Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it." Proverbs 13:11

"Lord I release my finances to you. Father I pray that you discipline me. I felt my spirit telling me that I have to learn what to do with a little. To know what to do with a lot first. I could pray for more money. But lord I rather pray for wisdom and discipline in my finances. Help me to be wiser and more responsible with my finances. Know what portion needs to go where- how to save- how to build. In Jesus name I do pray amen!" 4-19-2017

Sounds crazy right? Who prays to know what to do with a little bit of money? Come on we live in a society that wants more. More money, more clothes, more makeup - we don't really strive for sustainability or longevity anymore. We live for things in the moment. Granted it's great for a picture, but security in our finances shouldn't just be for a moment. We may get a job, because we need money now, whether it is for school or to pay bills. However, we shouldn't just be fixated on those things.

"As women we must sustain ourselves." This not only includes saving, but also investing. Come on your a babe with power!

I began to pick up this interest in investments during my senior year of college. I heard students talk about it, my parents talked about it. So, I tried to go for it. I talked with my mom about what I should do. We sat down and my first investment was in medical marijuana. *crickets* I know. I also knew it was going to be a booming business by now, however that investment still hasn't taken off! Then at that I just let it sit there. I was a beginner and didn't know to much about investing.

I always thought you had to have a certain amount of money to invest, so I was always cautious in investing into anything else, because I thought I didn't really have the money to invest. So why will Stash be any different? Stash is a technology company offering a mobile app with micro-investing services. It aims to simplify investing, making it more accessible. If that doesn't do it for you- you can start of investing with just $5!

Yes, girl all you need is $5 to get started! Granted if you want it to build, you will have to compound it every month, which is basically adding more money to your accounts and letting it grow, but that can range from $5 to $50 - it's based on what you are able to do financially.

Upon that what's so different about this service is that it is unique to who you are, so you are able to invest into things that you love. Whether it is in tech or social media, you get to decide what to invest in, excluding all of that investment jargon that really doesn't' make sense to us and really getting down to whether or not this is a company we want to invest in. It provides you with more background information, to where you won't have to go deep diving for a bio.

Perks of Stash include:

1. They provide tips on how to invest through their learn tab. So though you may start out as a beginner, you'll end up like a pro by the end of your first year of investing.

2. Does not charge money for commission on buying and selling.

3. Allows you to buy shares in $5 dollar increments, which is much cheaper than other investments.

4. You will have more investment options.

5. You can withdraw money at anytime, but it will take 1-3 business days to receive your money. They currently do not have auto draft, so you will have to transfer it manually.

6. It's mobile! All you have to do is sign up online through it's website, which is only available for sign-up and content, then you can access accounts while on the go.

7. You will have lower fees on larger account. Accounts $5,000 or more pay 0.25% per year.

The only downside is, for smaller accounts $4,999 and below, you will have to pay a $1 a month ($12 a year), but this does not come out of your investment, but rather your actual bank account. This can seem a little costly, because on an account of $100 your basically paying 12%, but it balances out with the perks that you do receive, especially the ability to start investing with just $5 making it very affordable!
