If anyone saw, THE Girlboss herself, Sophia Amoruso's Insta story this past weekend you probably were shocked to see that Girlboss on Netflix is canceled. Yep, no season two. Me personally, I was waiting to re-watch all of season one, before the release of season two! Who wasn't excited? Who wasn't ready to binge watch it on Netflix. Like let's be honest Girlboss was our shero story! I wanted to see how she got to become a billionaire. How did she go from Nastygal Vintage to just Nastygal. I wanted to see how she came up with Girlboss, let alone the moment she decided to write her book. I wanted to see how this woman created an empire!

She stated with her Insta story, “So that Netflix series about my life got canceled, while I’m proud of the work we did, I’m looking forward to controlling my narrative from here on out. It was a good show, and I was privileged to work with incredible talent, but living my life as a caricature was hard even if only for two months. Yes, I can be difficult. No, I’m not a dick. No, someone named Shane never cheated on me. It will be nice to someday tell the story of what’s happened in the last few years. People read the headline, not the correction, I’ve learned.” Viva la Nasty Gal.

My first thought was Shane even real? Either way this show had a message. Like for instance right before your peak, you probably will encounter an f-boy who just needs to go so you can go on and be the boss babe that you are!

Nonetheless, kudos to them for making a bomb show and inspiring young girls everywhere. As Ms. Amoruso stated it will be nice to tell the story of what happened within the last few years and we are looking forward to it. I'm sure she has something up her sleeve. Although this show was short lived, there are many that can be taken from the show. Here are a few:

1. "In every failure there is an opportunity." Spoken from the queen herself! Yeah she may have gotten fired, but hey you can always bounce back from an 'L'.

2. Forget PowerPoint. You may not have access to everything, so work with what you have. Work hard with what you have. You have to start somewhere.

3. Trail your own blaze! As scary and uncertain as it is listen to your heart and spirit. It knows the way.

4. Be an uncommon woman in a conformist type of world. Just be you and "do you for you."

5. Make that money, then make that money work for you. Hustle hard babe!

The ending of this show is not a total loss. Girlboss goes beyond being a show. It will forever be a movement that sparks a fire in many young girls who will light this world up. Thank you!
